Did you know that it’s important to inspect your polyethylene at the change of season?
If your region has experienced high winds, ice, hail, heavy snowfall, or any other severe weather event, it’s a good idea to have your siding and greenhouse inspected.
How to inspect your siding
- Inspect your greenhouse covering regularly.
- By feel, check your polyethylene for cracks or openings. For minor imperfections, you can apply repair tape. Promote immediate repair to extend the life of your covering. In the opposite case, if the hole is not repaired in time, the tear may worsen with the winds.
- Check internal air pressure with the air damper.
Installation tip for repair tape
- Make sure the surface is clean and dry.
- Measure the tape slightly larger than the hole.
- Apply the tape to both the inside and outside of the polyethylene. Check internal air pressure with the air damper.
